Step 5- June 2012, A change in circumstances causes need for a delay...apparently that can be done and when you ask for an extension, they can give you an additional four months to contact them for the interview. This may be able to be done more than once...keep you posted!

Step 4

Friday, May 25
I received a letter from the U.S. Consulate General stating that they can begin processing our K visa application. They send a web address where I must download and print out instructions . Once these instructions have been followed, I send notice to their office, and they will set up an interview at the Vancouver, B.C. headquarters.

Step 3: My U.S. fiance received a notice to say that our fiance visa has been approved. Now I am awaiting my package from the National Visa Center and I will have to apply for a K1 nonimmigrant visa and my girls will have to apply for K2 visas.

Step 2: My U.S. fiance received the letter from Homeland Security stating that they had received our application. Customer Service number was given if we have questions.

Day 1 March 14, 2012

My U.S. Fiance mailed in our i-129 form along with all required documentation.
I am in Canada...we hope this process won't take long! We've been dating a year, and the distance is killing us!
